Don't drop it on yer foot. Don't think bodywork counts towards the points system for retaining the vehicle identity on a landy. Chassis, engine, transmission, axles, steering etc are the bits you have to keep to retain the original identity iirc.

what you do is tell dvla that you have changed the back pannels on your 5 door to make it a 3 door and they should change it on theyer system. thats all they done when I have modified other cars
