Late Series 3 brake pipe thread sizes?

I have a late series 3 (1984) - how do I know which brake pipe unions to get ? Are the metric or imperial ? I am starting with replacing the rear axle pipes as one cylinder needs replacing too as it has seized (and bizarely has no bleed nipple)
