My old man has an early 1999 disco 2 TD5 which over the years he had it has had a turbo blow and cylinder head at 60K ish miles, numerouse problems with the air suspension and now has intermitent 3 amigo warning lights.
Thing is he has caught the bug we all have and is now looking to change it for a 2004 on wards face lifted disco 2, he's looking at TD5's but i'm trying to put him in a v8 with gas as he does bugger all millage. Thing is what are these like, do they have all the old faults of the early ones or did landy listen to there product testers (early customers with warrenty claims) and fix these issue's? any info or thoughts would be appreciated, as It always get chucked at me when it breaks and want to know if i'm getting more of the same olr if I might get peace for a while?
