Hi all.
Well its been one hell of a week getting the Landy back to a roadworthy state.
So far we've changed both axles, gearbox and all arms. Fitted new HD clutch and fork along with new suspension bushes, HD shocks and springs, 2" lifting blocks, new front brakes including pistons and extended braided lines, TD5 headlights and grill plus done quite a bit of wiring.
Only a few bits left now, cut and solder the wiring for the reverse light switch and diff lock light (picked up some solder today so that'll be done tonight). Fit some wading plugs, get the correct window mechs (proving to be a nightmare) buy some plastic tube to extend the axle and box breathers up to the roof, change my bent steering arm and get the tracking done.
Now the important bit i'm stuck on is the steering arm that goes behind the front axle (tbh the front one might be bent too i can't remember) been doing a bit of searching on the net and can't seem to find replacements anywhere. Could anyone point me in the right direction, just after standard ones then fit a big under engine guard to hopefully protect it.
Also do i need to go to LandyRover for the wading plugs? What should i expect to pay?
Probably think of more thinging i need to do once i start working on it again lol. Just want it road legal again so i can bring it home.
Any info or advice greatly appricated
Cheers Chris.
