How difficult is the terrain you're planning on driving? I've got a standard Td5 Disco' do you reckon it'll cope? Did Tinkers lane Just off M40 J16 thought I was gonna loose me side steps. Good fun though and hasn't put me off.

Srry Nut i didnt see your last post.

Tinkers is one of the roughest lanes i know of. However the 2 in Barston are pretty rough/muddy and prone to scratching the hell out of your landy. But saying that we are getting into the winter now and i rekon a lot of the overgrowth will dissapear. Is scratching an issue for you?

Also do you know of anywhere else we can add on to the trip?

OK fury muff. Have you got any other lanes we can add on to the trip as we might need to cut a couple out. Or maybe leave your landy at one end and jump in with one of us for a couple of them. But either way we could do with more lanes.

Nope.....mind you I havent looked round here......my mate spends a lot of time round brecon and wales. I havent been out lanin in these parts yet. Supposed I should have a look;)

I know some real crackers around Much Wenlock / Church Stretton. Would be great for a future group outing. I reckon you could spend all day out there and not have enough time to drive all of them. Giz a kick if you want an Overlay of them.

I don't mind getting scratches that will T-cut out. If a lane looks too bad, I can miss that one out, drive around and meet you at t'other end. Don't wanna spoil your fun by being a big girls blouse and not wanting to break me finger nails.

Just done Tinkers lane myself this weekend, as was said earlier in this thread I was rather concerned about the scratches i was picking up, But after a good wash down it has come through ok. Have found a pretty good ford near Little Alne, Sign says ford impassable at all times ;-) I was sh1tting myself though as I have only just bought my disco and still do not know what it is really capable of. Cant really add much to the great midland route but would like to be able to tag along if poss.

That ford can be a little tricky... dont do it after any Rain. We spent two hours there once winching a guy out who had been swept downstream by the current. It's not one for the faint hearted..!will try to find some pictures.

Basicaly we turned up to find a guy standing on the roof of his car in the middle of the river with the water level up to his dashboard, it took us ages to get him out as the water had shifted him down of the entrance/exit.

dont do that one alone, and dont do it without a snorkel. there's a hole on the bend that drops your nearside wing under the water level then the main current hits the same wing... just where you dont want it to on a disco!

As you say I wouldnt try it after rain and I do have a snorkel. Will be a bit more cautious as to what I attempt in future though as I would not want to have been stranded
