Hey guys! Hope everyone's good?
I was looking on the OS map for some good lanes in Bridgnorth area, I've been doing some in Wales, but I'm a Stourbridge lad so fancied something closer to home.

1. Does anyone have any good ones they can recommend?
2. Would anyone fancy meeting up to have a go at any of them one weekend?
Thanks, Rich

Welcome
Have they not closed most the lanes round bridgenorth ?
Not much round the surrounding area. Get a few maps/join GLASS they sometimes share lanes

Hi,

oh darn. I had no idea they'd close some of them. Is that for safety, or environmental reasons? A few friends use to talk about good lanes over in Bridgnorth, but that was a few years back. I am a GLASS member, Ill check on there and see if I can get any good info.

Thanks ;)

Probably worth looking on the green laning section to see if there are any discussions around local laning trips. It’s also well worth joining GLASS or looking for a local green laning group on FB.

Thank you, I'll check out the GLASS stuff :) I'm not on Facebook. I know there are a lot of groups on there, some friends have recommended it to me before. Perhaps I'll jump back on and take a look.

Hi :)
Is Shropshire worth exploring then? It's only up the road. Is there a specific OS map you'd recommend for the area?
Thanks
Considering how rural shropy is actual boats are scarce, I live in Telford, I'm from Newport and I work in prees and north Shropshire is rubbish for boat....
Much wenlock has a good few and buildwas lane is a well known track although not a actual designated boat...
Plus I always track and record the routes I do on wikiloc ;)
If you spend a bit of time on North Shropshire website and Shropshire council website and search 'public access' and BOATS all the information is readily available :)

Steer clear of what's known as B roads (Bastid roads) most are no longer maintained and impassable. There are some bigger roads closed as 'A' roads, passable with care, but watch out if its rained
