needed leccie during the night time, not a need, a must have...
but my frequent trips to the loo would have been better than a slow filling of an empty 4 litre milk bottle......

not that I`d ever do that thing

Easy the pod is the way for you bud. Double bed wiv double plug a few inches away, a little night table by side of bed and toilet about 4 steps from sitting up on bed. Unless you is like me an blocked in by the snoring, immovable SWMBO - yep, she insisted on the 'good' side. I were stuck against the wall - only bonus were being able to see Pikey running after cows wiv a stick biggerer than im. Wish I'd fired up the camera. Twas a sight to behold.

Couple of things (or more than a couple!)

The general consensus seems to be that an annual bash at the same site is favoured, and the second meet would have more coming as they can see that it all worked out fine.

The site had newts and frogs which the kids loved, but as Great Crested Newts are a protected species, we had to tell our Granddaughter to put the one back that she found:

Not 100% sure if that is a Great Crested Newt, but in any event the kids really loved the running about and playing with other kids, a big plus for everyone as they kept themselves occupied.

Regarding camping and caravanning and essential services, we are independent of mains electricity as we have four 80Watt solar panels on the roof of the trailer which gives us a lot of battery recharge power, even on the dull rainy days, and with a small inverter as well we can provide power for almost everything we need.

Laptop, phones, TV and satellite receiver are all 12V standard items. Heating and hot water, cooking and fridge are LPG (Autogas) from a refillable tank, the engine winch in the back is 12V.

Took a bit of planning when we built the trailer, but we planned for 4-5 days away at shows at a time, so as we couldn't guarantee 240V supplies, we did it all on 12V. We do have a small Chinese 800W genny but have never used it in anger in 3 years.

We do have a 550W 240V inverter, but have lent it to a lady with a kid on a ventilator so they can get away with her in their motorhome. She is absolutely dependent on the ventilator 24 hours a day and has a permanent tube in her throat.

We took our caravan, Ok, it was slow towing with the 90 (40 - 50) but it got there and we had all services with us!

Next year we're probably gonna camp, unless I get the engine swapped from the 19j to a 300tdi .. :) Even camping though, there's no reason to slum it, we have a Porta Potti, fridge, cooking facilities, generator and full electrics if we want .. :) I only wild camp when we're laning or solo. Juliet just doesn't see the point if she can't be comfortable.

    Good for her!

No reason not to be comfy, we are just too bl**dy old to be camping

Last time we did any serious camping was the year we decided that the trailer was a definite runner for us to build.

It's not that you can't be comfy in a tent, but when you are our age you like to have some creature comforts ;)

Very pleased to see the toilets and showers, we've had them available at the show in Nuenen, Eindhoven, but very rare in the UK.

Maybe they've not been online or not seen the thread. Maybe they're not too bothered either way.

    It's ok, 40 to 0 is fairly clear :)

Lol there has to be a better way. I have bruises too

Just a note, if I'm on my phone I can't see the vote option or red triangle. Well, very much anything that's not what people have wrote. :)
