... Im busy doing a search and trying to find out why our landy decided to stop wiping our windows in the rain and on the motorway, we think shes trying to bond with us...
The first thing that I would check is that the motor is well earthed, coz that's what stopped mine from working!

Can you waggle the wiper arms at all?

Can you get to the motor? If so, take the cover off and remove the circlip holding the wiper pushy thing. Then try waggling the arms.

If they move freely, they're not the problem.

Next try a good squirt of WD all over the inside of the motor and then see if you can run the motor without any load on it to see if that moves the big wheel round.

From some of the posts I have read, I did think there were quite a few w*****s on here to be honest....which is why I think Ill fit in just fine!!

Its worth giving a wiggle to the white plastic socket on the wiper motor that the cables plug into as this can move slightly and affect the operation , but if its blowing fuses then quite common for steel spindle in ally/zinc casting on wheel boxes to seize up due salt corrosion esp when little rubber boot on nose of casting perishes HTSH s

Ok thanks Seadog, so heres what we did.

Good squirt of WD40..god that stuffs fun.. changed the park clip (after waggling everything you told us to) and hey presto! it works fine.

So ive done my bit being the foreman and deligater of instructions under the bonnet and now Ive come in for a rest and left him outdoors to put the landy all back together again, while Ill grab a well earned cupper and take the shriveled up tree down (well he will take the tree down, im just removing the baubles)

Thanks loads!
