Hi everybody!
'Got a Landy Defender 90 2.5 TDI circa 1992. Just had a new galvanized chassis fitted, cam belt, clutch, fuel tank etc.
Cost loads
It's now v.difficult to cold start. Starts fine on hot start. Before I had the work done it always started on the button hot or cold!
I've noticed that there's diesel slightly dripping on the deck when the engine is running. Maybe the fuel leak has something to do with it or bad earthing?
I've heard air in the fuel can cause this?
Please help
Thanks

:welcome: start by finding the leak maybe air in the system after leaking overnight that may be why it's difficult to start from cold
Let us know how you get on

Thanks for that!
You could see the diesel dripping on the deck only when engine is running.'had a look under the Hood and it's coming from the fuel pump which looks like needing a new olive.'Getting it sorted shortly so hopefully this will cure the bad cold starting. Don't think it's the glow plugs. Started this morning after a cold night but took awhile. I wouldn't go far in it at the moment and leave it to get cold as battery could flatten
