any links please to show me where all the grease nipples are and things to look out for when doing routine servicing...chers chaps

grease nipples-ball and universal joints and thats about it.


generally if it moves lubricate it if it dint move tighten it

lub yer hand brake linkageand adjust yer handbrake, check yer hubs fer leaks, yer might want to check yer axle breathers while yer at it

top up yer g/box and t/box unless yer gonna do a complete oil change on em

check the crap bowl on the fuel pump and clean it out

if yer got a petrol one check yer points fer arcing and mal-adjustment

check yer suspension bushes fer wear

and just check yer general service stuff like any other vehicle
which includes making sure everything works


if anything else comes to mind am sure someone will mention it


oh and buy a fookin heinze manwell or the like


and dint ferget to oil yer door hinges

Grease nipples on Propshats and on the UJ on same (depending on manufacturer). If given the choice always go for ones with grease nipples.
Not all ball joints have grease nipples, bur same as above.

A small investment in a haynes manual will give you everything you need to know in the first few pages. Even if the rest of the book is crap the service schedule thingy in the front is pretty comprehensive.

is that the haynes manual he need then slob? or a copy of the one one the manual download site which wipe the floor with it.

ffs haynes manwells are the best known ones not always the best but for someone just doing basic servicing, they do the job.

mi garden need more than diggin plus my back is fooked so i carnt do that

its probelly the weight of all them chips
