7.50s are expensive, just got a set for mine! :)
205 are fine on that, probably 215 as well. Problem will be finding a non profile tyre if you want to stay similar size to 7.50s.
Depends on usage, for mostly road and towing use 205 80 16 will be fine. If you want to do lots of off roading try and find 7.50 or a straight 205 16.

There are many threads on here regarding tires and wheels. 235x85x16 is the nearest match to your 7.50. If you have the original wheels you will probably find they are for use with inner tubes. Where as most of the tires these days are tubeless so you might find you have to change your wheels

One thing worth considering is that the expense of 7.50s is that the tyres have physically more circumference compared to normal car tyres. As such, they should last much longer.

Thanks I did. Not want to use them if it was going to cause a problem obviously it will make the speedo out but by how much will be only tell if i try I suppose

It wont give you a problem. Original spec for your vehicle was 7.50R16, or 205R16. 205 85 r16 are now much cheaper and more available. You lose a bit of rolling circumference, so speedo will be slightly out, not worth worrying about.
I have three sets of wheels for mine. 205 85 16 ATs, 205 16 Mud tyres, and 7.50R16 Mud tyres. I swap around according to use. No issues at all, they are all good! :)

A 110 will not only look silly with 205/16 on but it will seriously lower your gearing. That size of tyre was never fitted to a 110 at the factory.

OK. here you go, Tyre specs and pressures for Ninety/ One-Ten! From the factory owners book.
Pic aint very good, no time to fiddle about, but you can make it out. Two options, 7.50 16. or 205 16.

When I stand them next to each other there is only a fingers width of difference in height so I don't know why you think they would look silly hughesy ???? I I like the look of steel wheels if I brought alloys would I need spacers as my steel wheels have the centre that pokes out ? What alloys fit a 110 county defender? Discovery? Range Rover?

Yes, overall difference between the largest and smallest of my sets of wheels is just over 2" diameter. In any case I cant see the vehicle when I am driving it! :D
No idea about alloys, I am afraid, I just use steels, never had a problem with them.

Perhaps you should take a minute to read it again. It clearly only states 205r16 for the 90 models, not the 110.

It will look wrong, your speedo will be 10% out, and your engine will be revving more. If your wheels are made for tubed tyres (look for rivets between the rims and centres) then there are a couple of low cost 7.50 x 16 remold options, although the Avon Rangemaster is really what you want.

Fair enough! :) 7.50s only for 110. Hadnt really studied the 110 options, just remembered the 205s were in the chart.
Any idea why? 205 is actually a wider tyre than 7.50.

205mm is just over 8 inches. 7.50 is 7.5 inches. Add to that the 205 you often see are fitted to disco rims etc which are a wider rim but even on a standard LR steel wheel it'll be a bit wider.

Yes, I favour the standard landrover rims myself, for exactly that reason.
I often measure tyres, surprising how much variation there is within the individual sizes. 7.50 can mean 7-8 inches actual.
And apologies for doubting you about the 110 sizes, I rarely post about 110, or indeed tyres. After seeing the first response, I was hoping to save the chap from a rash of posts about how he should get incredibly huge off road tyres, the usual result when people post these freds about a 90.:)
Looks like he will have to cough up for the 7.50s then!

No probs Turboman. He should be able to find some at a reasonable price I've just put two on my 110 for about 150 quid fitted including new tubes. Can't for the life of me remember the make but they're like the old deestone extra traction jobs. Very good in the mud but howl like a banshee at anything over about 40mph on the road!
