landrover radio removal

hi all
any sugestions on how to get them out ( radios that is ,dont get excited chaps) .only thing is my disco is reasonably tidy inside and my normal method of removal of antitheft radios is a crow bar which my mrs isnt to keen on cheers

radio removal pins - they cost about £4 from a motor factors. failing that a metal coat hanger can be used. theres 2 small round holes either side on the front of the stereo - insert removal pins/metal coat hanger bits in these holes and pull the pins out to the sides of the stereo and pull the stereo out of its hole

hi I D,i was going to suggest a tirfor or an allis with a big TWR to pull the bugger out,glad you used your initiative,come on the R Es.

I did have to wedge a pair of pliers in the casette hole to pull the bastard out !!!

I do like a bit of brute force it makes the job worthwhile.:flame2:
