Landrover freelander td4

Hi guys ime new to this group i have recently bought my first freelander but have had a few problems to say the least firstly I had to repair the air intake pipe as this was split I then used the blanking kit to replace the egr valve as this was full of carbon deposits I then replaced the heater plugs and again was staggered at the amount of carbon deposits in and around the inlet manifold I now seem to have a massive under power problem and keep getting the ecu intermittently coming on and off when i go above 2 thousand revs with bits of black smoke it seems as if the turbo ain't. Working correctly but ticks over and sound as it should when it's stood still any advice be appreciated guys thanks Tony South Wales

Maybe your year doesn't like EGR removal, older ones like discos are okay but newer ones won't have it. Can you put it back and see if it rectifies itself?
