Landrover 90 ashtray

my 1984 90 county which I’m doing up as original as possible and there are 4 holes under dash for a ashtray I presume like in pic would this of been on the county spec or an aftermarket bolt on?

Ill have a look in my 1985 90 parts catalogue and get back to you, I'm just about to go to bed so it will be tomorrow, off the top of my head though I don't think there is an ash tray listed in it.

My 85 90 has four holes there though, with little grey inserts, I just presumed someone had fitted a CB or radio down there?

mine has the inserts as well where did you get catalog from

My 1985 90" has an ashtray set into the top of the dash - looks factory fitted.

So has mine, and I am looking for a replacement as it got nicked a couple of years ago in Scotland!

I bet whoever thought of putting it there didn't try it out - if the vents are open or the fan is on the ash blows around you instead of going into the ashtray!

They come up on EBay from time to time, fairly cheap , the part number is RTC9868CC, the part number RTC9868 is for a Ninety, the CC donates the year so CC is January 1989, CC goes up to the 19J TD engine. You have to do a bit of research on the part number for the catalogue, RTC9868 will be correct, its the last two letters you need to get right, there is two on EBay at the moment but the last two letters are different so best to ask the seller first.
