Discos are excellent you can pick one up cheap as chips and most parts will fit a defender excellent organ donors

I had a Series 2 Disco 2 V8 - worst dog ever - £4.5 in 18 months....sold it with a blown engine and lost the 14k purchase price.....

Then a P38 2.5 County. My 25 year old 2 door Rangie was more reliable, as is my 92 4 Door Rangie. BUT the Rangies were just toys. I now run an XTrail and my wife a Shogun as daily drivers.....

Out of the two the Shogun is better built and more reliable.......
