if you have a 300tdi landrover then cut a piece of ali plate 510mm x
525mm .

the width is the 510mm side , put a 25mm 90deg bend on this so you can
slip the plate down in the gap between radiator and front scuttle plate
, ie just behind the bonnet catch .

Muffs in blue well it takes allsorts. Brown oh yuk, green what have
they got!!

Has anybody got any good reasons why i shouldnt use a bit of cardboard
wrapped up in duct tape and a binbag? (i'm feeling poor!)

None whatsoever .... but that's hard work. You could use anything
rigid, thin and (ideally) water resistant - hardboard, plastic sheet
.... all sorts of possibilities. Just look around the house, in a few
skips ... you'll soon find something suitable.

Good point. Got some plastic sheet somewhere!

I covered my radiator, it was ok going to work and back but when I went on
the motor way the
temp went high and I had to stop and take it off.
