Land Rover Noise

Hi I have a '99 L/R Td5 and have noticed a noise, when I'm driving, the noise gets higher in pitch and can't think what it could be, does anyone have any ideas, there's no banging, cracking or that just sounds a weird sound also when sitting stationary the engine doesn't purr like normal, sounds like it's not got enough fuel getting to it, sort of stuttering if you know what I mean?

change the fuel filter see what happens

What about the high pitch whining noise?

it could be air leak from turbo to inlet manifold or in let manifold gasket I had a scana inlet manifold manifold gasket leaking it sounded like a sacolded cat when pulling hard but reving it up stationary you could hear nothing

Do you have children when your driving or the wife if not stop strangulating the next door cat

all cats run away so ill have to stangel mrs!!!!!

get a series, with a 200tdi, you'll never hear anything over the engine noise

So I went in underneath my discovery, tightened a few bolts on the gear box and the sound seems to have disappeared
