Hi, can anyone advise on the lift needed to get a front wheel off the ground on my TD5 2002 Defender 90?

I am looking at the original LR bottle jacks on eBay. Does anyone know what their extended height is?

As long as you are jacking under the axle then you only need to lift the wheel 1-inch to allow its removal so find your jacking point and measure the distance between the that and the ground.
Extended jacking is only required when you are lifting the chassis and the springs have to extend before the wheel lifts.

The red two stage jacks go from closed height of 180mm to max height of 400mm.
Really good jacks.

I have a land rover bottle jack in my battery box for emergency use and it will lift high enough to remove a wheel, but I use a 2 ton trolley jack for home maintenance
