Hello everyone, my first post.
2 months ago I bought the Freelander Adventurer, my first Land Rover. I got a new Labrador puppy and decided I needed something I could take her into the country with.
I soon found at about 70mph there was no way the Land Rover would go any faster no matter how hard I pressed the accelerator.
On ramps if I accelerated I could feel a lack of power. :(
After researching on the forum I decided to :-
  1. fit silicone intercooler hoses (I found a very small cut in one of the original hoses and several were very soft)
  2. changed the crankcase filter for the BMW modified oil separator kit
  3. and fitted an EGR blanking unit.
This has transformed the car, it accelerates without hesitation and there is no lack of power throughout the range. I also have just returned from a 600 mile holiday in Scotland with the Land Rover, wife and puppy - no problems !!
A very happy man . :)
Joe
