I am new to this forum. I have been posting on the Land Rover Owner forum for some time but I noticed this website when I have been searching google for the solutions to our land rover problems and I noticed that this has many more members!
I have always loved land rovers and when I met my partner Andy he already had a Series III 1980 SWB and a 1980 Classic Two door rangie. The rangie was sold since (couldn't afford the petrol prices, especially since after all of the work that had been done on it, it only did about 7mpg!) but we have since got a 1986 110 Truck Cab with Ifor William back, and two Disco's, one is a 1994 3.9 V8i and the other is a 1997 300 Tdi. We have done a SERIOUS lot of work to the Series 3 together, it is totally kitted out inside and out now, not so much for off roading but it has all the fancy knobs and buttons on the panel for every little thing and is in totally original classic condition, the whole engine has been overhauled too. Now we are starting work on our 110, which we got a little over a month ago, and it is one of those lovely landies that has a "never ending problems" personality complex (see my "serious indicators problem" thread)
