Anyone know what colour my land rover defender 1991 200tdi 90 is? See photo

Obviously some kind of red and a bit metallic and sparkly.

Where is a good place to get a rattle can made up?

I think I've narrowed it down to:

County Red
Portofino Red
Rimini Red (maybe)
rutland Red (think only used on 300tdi onwards?)
Venetion Red

No paint code anywhere on the vehicle?
Not had a respray?
I've had some success with other makes by ringing the franchised dealer's parts dept, have the reg & VIN to hand.
Rioja Red (aka Nightfire 2, it's a Rover/LandRover thing) is a possible. Codes 601 & CAQ.

Portofino, Rimini (for your date), Rutland and Venetian aren't metallic so you can rule them out.

Don't know if this is any help: https://www.defender-landrover.co.uk/p/paint-codes.html

As it's a metallic you'll need the base coat (the colour coat) and the clearcoat to go over the top.

I did see the list of paint codes but thanks - good shout on ringing the dealer.

Could have been resprayed but I've never noticed any evidence of that and I've basically stripped everything over the years and not noticed different colour

OP's car is a metallic paint. Portofino isn't metallic. (The word 'solid' in a vehicle paint description means not metallic/pearlescent etc)
If all else fails find a motor factor near to you & compare their colour swatches to the car. Might be a while before they're open again!

I expect there will be a perfectly good area on the riveted on id plate where the paint code should be stamped but LR for a number of years didn't bother putting the code on.
