Hi all, looking for a local repair shop specialising in older Land Roves, mine is 1992.

I know they all cost a bomb, my current chap charges around £90 an hour with the vodka and tonic, so cheaper would be ideal. Though happy to pay top notch for stella service of course.

I can do mostly everything myself apart from major engine rebuilds or large replacements, such as the gearbox that needs replacing at some point.

I'm sure I'd be capable with a hand and plenty of reading up and prior knowledge, but I can't facilitate such a repair back at base due to lack of car lift.

Thanks in advance.

How local? Dingocroft are near High Wycombe, which I think is in Bucks, but not too far away.
They are pretty helpful, and know older Land Rovers inside out.

I have never had work done by them, but they do have a workshop, and a good reputation.
I have bought second hand parts off them, and they were friendly, and quite reasonably priced, so I would give them a go.
If they are very busy, they might even recommend someone else local to you.
