i guys, my defender is rotting! Its a 2006 Defender 110. The Rear body capping ( the ridge between the rear tub and the rear windows) is rusting away. Planning on taking it in to Land Rover this week. Having read the Land Rover warranty terms online, it seems like the key word is perforation... I have a feeling that even though the capping has rusted to the extend that a 4 inch by 1 inch section of paint has fallen off a 4 year old defender, they'll do sod all about it...because there isn't a hole in the capping .... yet!
Has anybody had any experience of warranty claims for corrosion?
If they fob me of, I'll write in, to a couple of Land Rover mags and Autocar- hopefully a bit of publicity will help things...
