Land rover 90 v defender 90

Hi

Can anyone tell me what differences there are between say a 2.5 na 90 and a 200tdi defender besides the engine ?

Are the chassis/suspension the same ?

Are the upgradable parts the same for both ?

the same car m8 on some they have different door handles but all in all the same car

Yeah I know about the engine as I have a 200tdi disco that has just failed it's mot on rust and that's why I'm looking at the cheapest way to get back into land rovering. I have always wanted a defender as while I know the disco is very capable the looks of the 90 look so much better.

How big a job is it to pit the 200tdi disco engine into a 90 ?

Easy, read the sticky at the top of the defender section. All explained in there, as simple as that!

their are minor differences , the biggest is that the LR90 has thicker body panels eg wings , same with 110 .

I had a look at that but am still not sure if it will be the same process as that guide is to fit a 200tdi into a 2.5td. I have a non turbo 2.5.

Will the guide still be relevant ?

Think you'll find they are the same, cos all they did was bolt a turbo on a n/a.
The n/a is ok standard but with the turbo it can't handle it.
I think they did it as temp till the 200 tdi come out.

Yes the guide should still cover yours. I think they are really reliable there is little to go wrong! Iv never owned one tho!
