My mates 90 was stolen last night from Sheffield. He's only owned it 48 hours.....!!!!!!
Reg No L145 BEL 200 Tdi
Van back, Grey colour.
Standard white landrover wheels, black wheel arch spats on.
It has got a distinctive hole in the bonnet on the near side where a .223 round has gone through it.
I'll have more details on it later and pics etc
Please keep your eyes peeled, police have been informed and it was locked up with steering wheel lock etc..etc

Fingers crossed, It's a big problem in the area i live in, yet nothing seems to get done about it. Gutted for him, it was his first landy and he was buzzing with enthusiasm for doing stuff to it, I put him in touch with the guy selling it coz it was a mate of mine and it was a cracking Landy. Hopefully someone somewhere might just see it. . . .

Here's some picture of the defender. The tractor plate on the front wasn't there.

Stolen between 2230 Wednesday 31st July and 0715 Thursday 1st August. In the S6 area of Sheffield.

Any information please contact the police (South Yorkshire) or post back on here.

I'm having problems signing in to my own account - hopefully I will get it sorted as soon as.

A bit of good news. The police have found his 90, parked up in a shopping centre car park in Sheffield. Luckily it's in one piece, so hopefully it'll be re-united with it's rightful owner pretty soon. Happy days.

That's good news. Hope it hasn't put him off owning one.

Has he not been to it?

We've had bad experiences with South Yorkshire police. A works van was stolen, police found it and then lost it again, we arrived at the van just as some local chaps were sticking screwdrivers through its fuel tank and putting mattresses under it. It was 5 mins away from being burnt out forever in the middle of the Manor Estate. Another time it was stolen, robbed Matalan of a load of England Shirts and drove through speed cameras a lot late at night still in Sheffield. Then about 6 weeks later driving home, what would be coming the other way, its our van with its lettering removed. Then followed a family favourite story involving pulling keys out of the ignition and chasing some thieving bastards down the middle of the street.

So I would recommend getting down there, refusing to let SOCA have it towed away, (it seems that Scene of Crime means wherever is most convenient for them) and drive it home yourself if driveable.

Yes, hopefully it will be returned safe and sound. Not sure what's happening now with it now though. I'll let him know what's been said. Thanks for all the replies and comments. I've only been on here a week and was kind of hoping my first posts were in a section other than this one to be Honest.
