    1. Hey so yesterday I was out in my Landy, so I went to start her, turned the key gave her 10secs for the pump and battery to wake up, pulled the choke out and turned her over. She fired away she went I let the choke back in and she stalled. I turned the key again and she turned and turned and then started I gave her some throttle and she ran ok, I went to pull out but she died so I stopped have her some more throttle and she pulled out of the garage. Did she die because I hadn't let the carbs warm up as I usual give her 2/3mins to warm up before I go any where in her? (That's just a little issue I've never really worries about but I wonder if it related to my next issue)

So i had her out yesterday she started usual and as I had already said above, I had driven to a couple places and was heading back and whilst driving I lost power like the engine was struggling/constipated. She was still moving but struggling, Was she missing, I pulled the choke out whilst on the move and she picked up like before released it and she struggled again. No power if I pushed down on the excelerator,!

      Is this a fuel problem

      A spark problem

      Dirty in the line

I'm no expert so any help would be appreciated regards

If it runs properly on the choke then it's probably a fuel problem. Could well be dirt in the float chamber that keeps blocking the fuel slightly. If it is this then the engine should run very 'lumpy' when the problem is happening because it will be blocking fuel to the cylinders on one side.

Yeah she was going pretty well then it's suddenly started to struggle and wouldn't push out the power to accelerate but like she was constipated. Then pulled the choke out and about a second later she powered on, released it and the same problem! Where would I find the float chamber to take a look pete-b?

If you've got SU carbs then you need to remove them as the float chamber is underneath, accessed by removing the lower cover plate. See section 4 here: http://sucarb.co.uk/technical-hif-type-carburetter-dismantling

It's also worth removing the suction chambers (only 3 screws holding them on) and making sure the pistons slide smoothly. You'll need to do this anyway if you're going to access the float chambers.

If you've got Strombergs then, unfortunately, I can't help as I don't know much about those.

Does it have points in the distributor. Classic condenser symptoms.
New condensor or electronic mod.
Do you mean points in the distributer cap!? When you say condenser and electrinix mod what are you meaning an ignition condenser? Thanks sorry for being thick
