I have a 1975 109 and it has had an engine rebuild 2000 km ago.
Disappointingly it looses power on a 20km run into town.
Once the car has to start climbing on the last part of the journey it can drop back to 20kmp and that is second gear.
I have a new distributor ,points,leads and coil all set up to what I believe to be correct.
The engine has over sized pistons and I guess would be about 2.5 ltr now.
The carburettor is not original but there 3/4 single Weber on it now.
Any ideas where to look next ??
Perhaps take the timing cover off and see what is going on in there.
