On the way home today from a very wet holiday in Devon, miserable kids and wife, caravan on the back, rain lashing down, M5 stop and start and the bloody windscreen wipers pack in. Managed to pull over under a bridge and check the basics, fuse ok, wiper not jammed. Then after 5 minutes all started working again only to fail again after an hour or so, again restarting after 5 mins.
I'm assuming an overloading relay or wiper motor.. any ideas?

Not had this problem I'm afraid, but would check all your connectors relating to your windscreen wipers in case water is getting in there and causing it to short ?

I know nothing about the L322, but could be knackered wiper blades overloading the the wiper motor which may have thermal overload (overheat) protection. Just a thought;)
