rear a few posts about a vibration through the steering wheel at about 60mph, what could be the causes of this? couple of RR's ive viewed had it, and seller claimed wheels needed balancing, why not get them balanced then if you're selling a £18k car?

What else could it be, what should i look out for?

Cheers (yet again :) - your making a habit of this) Matt, it did have larger wheels on so could of been that, if something more serious is there anything I should check or look out for in particular?

And while you're here please do let me know of any black Vogues you know of for sale please please please

mike it had 87k on it....... so could be worse than a wheel out of balance :(

Think too many faults with that one so time to walk away

Might sound daft but before getting to 60 did you pull away and accelerate fast or smoothly? I read another thread that talked of a valve into the power steering designed to stiffen the steering above 55 when that wears it doesnt handle it well and cant firm up the steering quick enough - hence the vibration. My L322 is terrible at 55 if I floor it but lovely if driven a little more sensibly. With a 4.4V8 flooring it is not a regular thing unless I know where the nearest petrol station is.

Ok - another fix ....... get your front discs and pads changed - had mine done today and no wobble/vibration no matter how I drive it. Pads were shot (55K on the clock) and discs worn/warped. Oh yes and seized caliper...and big bill :-(

your supposed to be filling me with confidence MrP, not putting me off! :(

Think im going to leave the one with the faults and continue searching

Anyone know of a decent black with ivory leather TD6 Vogue do please please please let me know

I had this happen with mine, sometimes it vibrated, sometimes it was fine, but always around the 60mph/2000rpm cruising range. I had the wheels rebalanced and now it seem to be fine (the balancing machine said my front right was WAY OFF balance).

I have also had a sticking caliper - they are ****e! Mr P did you have your reconditioned or just cleaned up and put back on or whole new calipers?

This car is starting to depress me, always something going wrong with it!
