I've just dealt with this problem, basically after diagnostics, the computer read, "low fuel pressure while cranking".
The expected fuel pressure should have been 370/420 bar, mine was showing 50 bar !! (according to the diagnostics)
This pointed to the high pressure fuel pump !
If you don't have access to a diagnostic computer, then, although some people will disagree, spray some easy start into the air system.....If the car starts, turn it off and try it again without easy start, if it fails, then it would appear that it is lacking the high fuel pressure that's required to start the car.
I've since purchased a recon fuel pump from Maltings off road, near Doncaster......The car now starts fine !!
Hope this helps someone !!
