L322 TD6 Highest Mileage???

I have a 2004 Range Rover Vogue TD6 Black and Ivory and in virtually unmarked condition. It's has had just 1 previous elderly owner (Up to 42K miles). I have always taken great care of the car and always had it serviced on time at Landrover but the mileage is now getting quite high.

It has now covered 146,000 miles, and my question is can I expect much more from this vehicle??

I recently had a new gearbox fitted by Landrover at a cost of £4k, so don't expect any more problems there (yet) and I know that nobody has a crystal ball and anything can happen, but as a guide are many of you out there getting mileages much in excess of this??

Or do I (as I think my wife would like me to do) need to get shut and suffer the expense of buying a newer version, something I am reluctant to do when my current car looks so perfect!!!

Your thought's and knowledge of mileage expectations on a well maintained Range Rover TD6 would be greatly appreciated??

I've not long bought my range rover
It's a 2002 and it's covered 136000 now
No problems at all and still running on original gear box
I don't think it's Been replaced ! Anyhow other than the smallish problems like fuel pumps, air suspension I think the early td6 bwm engine is pretty solid !

I wouldn`t expect any modern vehicle to start falling apart at that age/mileage.. I`ve no experience of the L322, but if looked after it should only be half way thro` it`s life. My P38 was sold at 170k, and is still going ok on original engine/box, and the L322 should be longer lived..
Buying another (used) vehicle is taking a chance, unless you know the exact history of said vehicle, we all know of good looking cars with apparently good history that turn out differently than expected...If your wife is bored try freshening up the current car with a makeover..new paint `n` wallpaper? or spend your dosh on a rattly bumpy sporty rag-top for the summer, and she`ll love it more when the Rangie comes out the garage in the autumn...

Thank you both for your comments... Good point gtland, this is my biggest issue re: not knowing history of a replacement.

For the obvious reason (cost) I can't afford new, so I could end up buying a lower mileage model, not cared for and with things about to go wrong which I've already replaced....

Any more contributions from other members gratefully received

Looked after, and apart from the usual LR niggles, it should be good for another 150 K as you have done the gearbox

Personally I think you should keep the car and change the wife if she is unhappy with it

I think your right Datatek re: the car.... As for the wife, she hasn't got a clue, if it was up to her we'd change for a Mercedes ML... The trouble is, she doesn't know any different from the R/R and so takes so much for granted. Borrowed an ML for a day back in March from Mercedes, and came home with back ache!!

An ML would also just as likely give you wallet ache, some versions are more trouble than the Rangie and very expensive for parts

its just ran in mate. should be good for 300 k if looked after
