Hi guys, did message earlier but cannot find it now !!
Rear of my TDV8 would drop over night, both sides right down to the bump stops. Land Rover had it for about 10 days trying different things first the compressor was replaced as this was knackered, still same problem and changed the rear valve block, same problem so recalibrated the height sensors, guess what same problem, they have done the test of raising the height and disconnecting the battery to see if it drops over night and it doesn't which proves no air loss anywhere. Now sometimes the car drops over night to the bump stops and sets the alarm off (great!!) but while driving the message on the dash reads ''suspension fault - 30mph Max'' then teh car drops, struggles to raise and can do this all the way to work. Get in at night or another day and no problems what so ever, Land Rover and me are now lost as to what the problem can be, has anyone any ideas please on trying something else, driving me mad and putting me off the car - want my old P38 back :(
Thanks

Sounds like leaking airbags to me, raising the height above normal may seal the leaks.
Really need it on diagnostics and live data to see what is happening. Search for a thread by RS2000 Custom.

Thank you for your reply, I will have a look at RS2000 Custom...
When Land Rover plugged it in no fault codes what so ever came up or have been logged except for the compressor which was the first thing changed.
Could one air bag if leaking make the car do all sorts of weird things, its always the rear that drops and both side drop together...

Not overly familiar with the L322 system, but if one bag is leaking, it will I believe try to maintain height, unlike the P38 which levels down. When the stored air is exhausted, I would expect it to go down. However, on the P38, if the rate of fall exceeds a set rate, it will just go down on the one corner that is leaking. Not sure on the L322 as it has the complication of cross valves.
Checking the airbags for leaks with soapy water solution would be an easy first step.

Hi
I have a 2006 l322, that has developed a suspension fault that I hope someone can help me with. The car drives fine with the suspension going up and down with no problems. As soon as the car is driven near 50mph for around 15 seconds the air suspension lights turn off, I get an error (suspension fault) and the car slowly drops t the bump stops. I also get the ' do not dive over 30mph' error. As soon as I pull over turn the car off and turn it on again its fine as long as i don't go over 45mph.
is this a fault any of you have come across. Thanks in advance for any advice

Diagnostics is first thing, I am thinking ABS system issue.

On the L322 the ABS and EAS system talk on the same bus, if one system faults, it takes the other out with it!

It may be an ABS sensor issue!

The car does lower to motorway height, on the 2002-2005 models this is around 60mph for 30 seconds!

Thanks for the reply. The local RR garage could not find any faults. So will take it somewhere else and point them in that direction.
Will let you know
