Hello !

After sucessfully changing my standard MID stereo in my HSE to a touch screen NAV system im now about to fit a subwoofer.

I have the original 11 speaker Amp'd system which works great with my new head unit, the only thing that i dont have a sub fitted in the rear boot panel.

I think the standard speakers lack a little bass so i have sourced an original cubby hole sub box that fits into the passenger side rear boot panel.

just a quicky... those that have one fitted or not, dont suppose you know if you had a connection for it allready in the loom ?

I cant seem to get the left boot paneling off, does anyone know how to get it off ? i have released the two plastic nuts but it still wont unclip ..

any ideas ?

either way if i cant find an OEM subwoofer connection behind the panel then i'll add my own amp and feed it from my new head unit.

Thanks for your help
:)

ive just been out and checked mine it seems to be connected to the main lume by the tv tuner but not 100% sure there are so many wires in this area,my factory fitted sub is behind this cover and it appears it does unclip for access i will try and pm you a pic

Much appreciated for checking that
Look forward to receieving your reply.
As far as I can see the connection on the sub box is on the right of the speaker box so it can't be seen from the cubby whole door without removing the whole panel ?

Is yours the one with the two black speakers in it ?
Thanks bud

well picked up a nice 200W amplifier tonight to power the sub im going to fit this weekend. as im pretty sure there wont be a connector in the loom on my HSE. eitherway i would like to control the volume of the sub output that my new head unit has an output for.

just a quick question, im going to have to route a couple of cables to the amp from the headunit - does anyone have any idea on the easiest cable route to the front stereo from the left boot panel ?

im thinking maybe along the bottom door trims, where the carpet finishes along the side ? hopefully i'll be able to tuck away a couple of cables down there ?

ill post a proper thread after showing install process for people who are interested to learn.

Cheers guys
