L322 Radio Replacement

Hi all does any one know if the BMW X5 E53 (2000-2007) radio head unit will fit into an l322 2002 mode HSE so no amp main reason is the radio unit I have has failed and I have seen a very nice aftermarket unit with sat nav etc for the X5. mot worried if I have to modify the carrier
