So, go gentle on me please… first post here….
Just purchased a 2003 L322 HSE TD6. With a known steering being heavy fault, this does not relate to that however the radio has today come up with a weird screen after working perfectly ‍♂️. I have moved my finger to follow the arrows to possibly unlock but nothing…. Any ideas?

I am very grateful for the advice, it was not until I posted and looked again I realised it was non original
I will do some trawling…
Thankyou very much for the responses.

You are what? Sorry for your lack of manners? Grateful?
I may seem harsh but the guys and girls on here do this for free. None of us are paid to be here. Although some are here whilst being paid ;) We help other poor shmucks, who like ourselves, at some point, have found JLR are uninterested in anything over 3 yrs old, and are trying to save their pride and joy. So a please and a thank you goes a long way.

Our posts crossed. That is great to know :D
Go on the bay. There is one particular seller who sells this type of unit. I can't remember his name off-hand. Just search for head unit for L322 and he will pop up in the searches. Every chance it is one of his.

Once you have completed the calibration of the screen (that's what it's trying to do) you may be able to go to the settings and get the make and model, or it may show on the boot up screen.

Soo… not the greatest starts for me (who trust me, was and continues to brought up with good manners as a daily due)
Firstly I apologise for the ‘casual’ request for information and assistance. I was up against work and just keyboarded a question with scant regard to the potential help I was about to receive.
For years I have belonged to many a forum from cars, tractors and lorries (admittedly vintage) replying myself to many of person in dire straits.
I will do an introduction to myself this evening on the new persons post, but I will say now if anyone requires advice I will be one to post help, also just so you know if anyone has any questions regarding regulations with regards to MoT testing I will do my absolute upmost as I am a class 4,5&7 tester .

Believe me you have no reason to apologize just because the forum Gestapo has a bee in her??? bonnet,it won't be long before she does a 180 and is all sweetness and light,oh! her next post what a surprise @myl322.look forward to your posts.:D

And result! I did not have my magnifying glass out to see the tiny ‘ok’ in top of screen to click after pressing each mark
So problem resolved yay
Yaaay.
Does this mean all now works as it should?
If yes, this leads to: why did it lose synch?
Which leads to: try to find out make and model for if when it happens again.
Also are you getting sound from all speakers? Not sure if HSE is the same as Vogue, but with Vogue you need more 'bits' if you want to retain all speakers, and dsp. Might be interesting to look in rear quarter panel and see what is in the magic box. Also check that a Mk1 plastic bag has been inserted to save water ingress.
