L322 intermittent starting

Morning all,
My 2011 L322 4.4V8 has just started to play up. Occasionally it just clicks when I press the button but will work at the next press. I had the battery replaced yesterday (at a cost of £323). This morning it started perfectly. Drove to the woods with my dogs and it clicked at me when I came to drive home. Pressed again and it fired up instantly. I’m going to check connections at the battery, starter motor etc. Does anyone have any other recommendations?

Are you sure you are fully depressing the brake pedal everytime.
Ours will sometimes do that if I push the button but release the pedal too soon. Or maybe it's that switch playing up.

My Transit is doing that, it's the starter motor solenoid in my case.

Just spoke to my garage and they said starter motor it’s going to cost

I think so too. Just checked the voltage on my new battery they fitted yesterday and they’ve managed to pull the negative wire out of the new tracker I installed!! Just gets better

Starter button in dash is a known fail just to add to the possibles.
