L322 funny noise from dash

Hi all I've got a sound like a mini clicking fan from the drivers side dash. Funny thing is it starts when u unlock the car sometimes it's way load nothing I do stops it it just stops on it's own and comes and goes ????
O it's a 02 l322 v8 petrol

yes i have same noise, there is awee fan spinning where the light adjuster is . amybody know what it does ?

mine did the same, take the cover of it and squirt it will oil as it did the trick with mine, its under the big plastic cover on the driver side under the bonnet and you can see a small plastic pipe coming out off the bottom of itt
