Hi all - new to this forum and new to LR ownership! Already besotted with our Stornaway Grey, 2011 FFRR 4.4 TDV8 Vogue, despite the inevitable issues :) I've already sorted the screeching sound from the wheel (seized on brake carrier), and the rattle (heatshield) and have only three issues left :)
  1. The yellow guide lines on the rear-view parking camera are incorrectly aligned, and they don't move when turning the wheel, are they supposed to? Is the misalignment simple to fix?
  2. Despite six long (60 to 120 miles each) drives over the past three weeks, I am still getting a battery low warning... I expect a new, uprated battery isn't a bad idea given all the electrics, but is anything else likely causing this error message that I should check first? Would be annoying to spend £200 on a new battery to get the same error!
  3. On three separate occasions now, the alarm has gone off for no reason. Each time, the onboard computer shows the bonnet being open, when it wasn't. Is this a common fault? Any idea how to fix it? or could it be because the battery is low powered. And no, the sunroof wasn't open etc. :)
Really appreciate any guidance on any of the above!

Matt

About £200 is about right for an L322 battery , if you use halfords/eurocrparts/ other usual suspects. Although some on here can direct you to online sellers who do them for less.
The L322 is battery hungry, they demand the battery be in tip top condition, nothing less. If your battery has been flat at any point, there is a chance it's not charging to full capacity. So maybe check it before a run.
Alarm may be related to battery, may be related to the bonnet sensor, there is a thread, somewhere on this site, about it. Other than that it may be lots of other reasons , which the more technically minded may be able to suggest.
Rear view camera, no idea, mine has no such toy and I find the old fashioned method works for me.

The answer to number 1 is, a 2011 tdv8 l322 might have a lot of tec stuff in it but getting the yellow lines on reverse camera to move when turning the wheel isnt one of them, if you look where the camera is placed you will see its not central anyway.
