L322 emitting Smoke and unbalanced engine run

My L322 2005 Range Rover Vogue is emitting smoke and the slow running isn't smooth, what could be the reason for this please.

Duff injector. Do a leak off test.

There could be lots of reasons.
First off it would help hugely if we knew which engine it is.

True, for some reason I assumed diesel from the smoke.

More than likely the 3.0 TD

It could also be the 4.4 M62 whoich makes the Rover V8 look like the most reliable engine ever made.

It's a v8 petrol engine

What colour is the smoke?
Does the engine start immediately or does it take a few seconds to start?
Do you need to top up the coolant?

I don't have to top up coolant and the engine doesn't start up immediately and the smoke colour is whitish. It cranks for a while before starting. it's a 2005 V8 petrol engine Vogue

Sounds like head gasket to me.
