L322. A bit of a challange !

That sounds a good idea. would you know how I could carry out a recalibration. what tool would I need ?. Do I really need a specific code reader to do this, if so is their one that covers other LR vehicles as well.

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D This has been quite a hot topic with some of us recently.
Personally I have a Foxwell NT510pro which was reasonably cheap @ £140 and works well for me, if it gets serious my local indi is always good to me. I find donating cake and biscuits helps.
Others have tried the Foxwell NT530 and failed miserably.
Snapon do one which works for some people but not others.
INPA I believe is cheap and can do it.
More expensive are the GAP IID and Nanocom (from what others have said), hopefully others will jump in with their experience/recommendations.
Whatever you buy it will pay for itself pretty quickly given LR hourly rates.

Backinblack, thanks for that. The reader I have seamed quite user friendly but Honestly ive no idea why the volts reading on the height sensor was so high. Keep thinking its telling me something. something I don't really understand. A volts reading way above that of the other height sensors. Something is clearly not right in that corner.

Ok these are my voltages and wheel heights, the car was facing downhill on the right hand side of the road on an adverse camber.

Front left 8.2mm front right-87.0mm

rear left-72.2mm rear right -28.2mm

The figures show the front of the car lower on the right and the rear of the car lower on the left lower on the left hand side. booked in to an Indi for calibration tomorrow. Be interesting to see what voltages they get. it looks as if ive mixed everything up but Ive checked and double checked.

You could still have the sensors 180 out iv done that twice now working on my car. Rotate the arms. Yes the sensors can only go on one way but the arms can go either forward or backwards
Hi,
Thanks for this. Yes your right. trouble is ive checked them very carefully. the arms on both sides face outside. They both sit at 90 degrees ish. facing outwards. Ive checked very carefully that the left one is on the left side and so on and they are right and as you say relating to the brackets attached to them cant be put on opposite sides. Its frustrating as I thought it was a simple fix.

Today I had the back going up on its own. Started thinking of putting springs on it but that's a bit of a swear word I suspect. Does not do much for looks either. The Garage says they will recalibrate it so all might be well by this time tomorrow.!!.

Unless your drive is extremely ****ed those readings can't be right surely. If one corner is low surely the opposite corner has to be high, with those readings one wheel should be up in the air :D

Yes that's right. those were read while on flat ground. be interesting when they get it on their machine. either the ECU is messed up or the code reader im using is useless. funny thing is ive not been able to jack up the front left wheel, the right one lifts first. its really unbalanced. not good to drive either now.

IMO if you leave it jacked up for a while the other wheel will drop eventually, it just takes time. That's why they're a PITA to change a wheel cos the hub drops once the wheel is off. But I imagine you already know that.:)

I do remember the code reader having a funny turn at the weekend while plugged in. the screen went blank and a load of numbers filled the screen I removed it then tried to plug it back in and turn on. it would not power up. thought id damaged it (it is my sons) I wonder if it messed everything up. Hopefully when they look at it tomorrow they don't find something silly ive done. if they do ill confess, Honestly!!.
