Sport L320 RR Sport Gear Box

RR Sport L320 SDV6 2012
my tank has the 8speed box
i whant to do a filter oil change
britpart do a conversion kit for the 6speed box that removes the requirement to remove the chassie cross member and associated problems with bocking up the transfer case

i aked them if there is a kit for the 8speed box but never recived a replie
looking at the adds for the filters and sump units for both 8 and 6 speed boxes
to me it looks like the spigot for the oil filter is not to big (High) as the 6 speed one
does anyone know if the proceedure is the same for both boxes ??

I think you’re right. The 8HP70 has a separate chain-driven oil pump in the sump (rather than a traditional type which is concentric with the input shaft). There is therefore no need for a tall suction tube on the filter like on the 6HP26, which is what caused the clearance problem during removal for the RRS/LR3/LR4.
