Hi guys, my old hippo is still going! I've owned the old girl from new and 160k miles on the clock now. I fitted a new engine about 25k miles back but some of the ancillaries are now beginning to show their age. The latest problem is a leak from the power steering pump. Can't quite see where it's leaking from it looks the pump itself as oil is being flung off the belt around the engine compartment. The high pressure side looks oil tight. Any way I've started stripping it out but called it a day while I try and find a replacement. I need one for an L series diesel with a/c. Would probably fit a good used unit but if I could find a reasonably priced recon item that might be better. Several companies list them but it's proving tricky to actually get one. Any advice or suggestions gratefully received.

Glad to hear the old girl is still going well.

Your favorite engine supplier have them new genuine/OEM/aftermarket...

Couple of hundred quid though! The ones with AC are about 1/3 more expensive than without.

Might be worth seeing if a local hydraulics company could recondition your unit.

'Gentlemen of Salvage' appear to be a decent online breakers for Freelander. Doesn't look like they have a QVB101050 unit in stock but might be worth a call...
