Hi guys
Can a faulty LED flasher unit cause the fuel, temp gauge and indicators to fail, the other day I was out driving on a M'way and noticed that all my small gauges and indicators had stopped working think after using the indicators to overtake something but only noticed this when I came off at the next junction, the reason I am thinking this is when we fitted the L.E.D. light kit last year the relay that was in the kit was faulty and caused similar problems, all fuses checked any idea's

Seems a bit unlikely, but you can never say for sure with a Land Rover. More likely your earth or power supply has failed behind the dash.

Just had a look at the diagram - well the diagram for mine anyway. There's a direct feed from the fuse to the instruments. Check both sides of the fuse with the ignition on - wiggle the fuse etc in case it's corroded. You can check the indicator flasher unit by using the hazard switch.

Sorted now I thought it was, replaced the L.E.D. flasher unit and everything is working again, the only down side is it was advertised as a Wipac one and when it arrived it was a Britpart one but tbh I always thought that Wipac and Britpart are the same company when it comes to electrical stuff :)
