Kumho venture AT, any good?

Hey again all,
Am getting rid of my standard defender wheels in search of something a bit beefier. I do lots of road miles but some off roading in wales (more to get places though, rather than full on playing in the mud) so I was looking at the BFG AT's which I'm told are fantastic, but a bit pricey for me at the mo. I found the Kumho venture AT's for alot cheaper, and just wanted to know if its worth saving the money or if i'll regret it down the line.

Oh and I'm entering the Macmillan 4x4 event, so they need to be suitable for this too really.

Sorry when I said I do alot of road miles I meant I do more on-road than off-road, I don't commute or anything with it, just go climbing and biking in wales in it really.

Sorry guys, didn't want to bump this thread, but just want some opinions on these tyres as I'm thinking of ordering them (or an alternative) in the next few days.

I guess the question is simply, 'would these be ok for green laning?'
