Tesco have got it on offer - 10 Litres for £7.99
It says it's "Long Life" but doesn't mention any additives.

Do ya reckon it's OK to use in me 200TDi?

i've used it in my 300tdi with no problems..think it has an anti foaming agent or summit in it but burns fine in mine.

Im using 100% Rape Seed Oil from Chinky cash n carry (Wing Yip) on the purley way £15.65 for a 20litre drum and they dont mind how much u buy.
Been using it straight and havent had any problems yet although after i started using it i read on here that i should change the filter after 1000 miles

That anti foaming agent is bad **** if what I've read recently is to be believed. Apparently it's some sort of silicone and when it's partially burnt it leaves deposits of very abrasive stuff anywhere it lands inside yer injun. I used to use it but not anymore, Seems the price of veg oil is starting to come down a bit now which can only be a good thing.

It can. I ran my 19j engined 110 on veg oil for about 8000 miles without any problems.

Nothing. Took it off the road for a rebuild about a year ago and it's still in the garage in bits. Nowt wrong with the engine though.

I thought it was taboo! Did you thin it a bit with petrol or similar or just throw it in with equal amounts of derv?

Ran it in varying amounts from 50/50 up to about 80% veg oil 20% derv. I wasn't really bothered if it did any damage as I always planned on putting a 200tdi in it anyway but in the event it didn't sem to do any harm.
