Known as Dangerous and about to self destruct any minute

Have a 99 4.6 HSE and now having key fob problems. Have been told to get in touch with the brilliant Mozz Smith before I explode.
Rangie has been going well for quite a while but now suddenly the open light on the fob has stopped working but the lock light is fine so I assume the the battery is OK. Using the key only unlocks the driver door and the car will not start. Have read many posts but nothing seems to work....desperate, please help

Thanks mate, good to know someone out there is listening. Hope someone can help a thicko like me to solve this problem.
Got a feelin though I might have to have the fob refurbished for £48.
