Hi.
Hope this is in the right section. If not then sorry.

Just thought i'd let you know that this lane that was in one of the Landy mags recently (can't remember which one?) has been dug up by some one.

When i say dug up i mean by a JCB as there are HUGE tyre tracks and a couple of holes that are approx. 4m wide x 1m long x 1m deep! It's also gots some very deep ruts which seem to have been made by the same JCB. The damaged section is at the Northern end of the track near the farm.

It's a shame as it looked like a nice little lane in the mag and as it is now it's un-usable and may a say possibly unpassable except maybe for the most extreme off roaders.

I'm glad that i decided to aproach it from the North as if i's have started it from the south i would have covered 90% of the lane only to have to turn back.

Maybe you'd have had more fun approaching it from the south, far more driving!
Have you reported it to the county council?

That lane was in a Landy mag about 18 months ago - part of a UK tour type feature?
I went and tried that lane the day after I read the article and it was blocked in the same way.
I emailed the chap from the wirral who helped write the feature but never got a reply!

I don't live too far from this green lane and had similar problems when I went to see it. It looks like its been disused for a long time. I wrote to (emailed) the council and have had a reasonable response:

Difflock :: View topic - Found a disused green lane - what can be done? ***UPDATE***

Do you need contact details (since they split Cheshire into two, their "Path Problem" reporting system on the website crashes)?

If there is sufficient interest from others, I'd push to get this lane properly repaired, rather that the state its in now.
