'kin underseal

Okay...i'm in the thro's of restoring me Series and looking for a good tip.
Now, does anybody know of a quick way to remove underseal? I've been at it with the angle grinder with the twisted wire brush and it just seems to score it and move it around. Is there a solvent or something that'll shift it? :scratching_chin:

Heat it with paint hot gun and scrape dude.

Hot air gun and scraping did come to mind but was hoping for an idea that would be less of a bind.
Anyway...I saw this and thought of you !

heat and scrape it you lazy git ! hahahaha there aint no easy way, you have the best tool on it now, an angle grinder with the wire wheel

after welding many cars as favours for freinds..... yes lying in dog **** weldin at the side of the road or on driveways n garages i found the best for removing underseal, body seal,silicone and all the other sticky stuff is a wood chisel... so long as its nice n sharp n you dont bang it with a hammer ( and create more holes ha ha )......oh while your at it find an old leather coat and wear it back to front so the back of the collar is at your neck.... this will save all the burnin your self shoutin ouch and generally bangin ya noggin on diffs/engines/axles etc
good luck with the weldin have a mte on standby with a water spray... have fun

can you not get it to a sand blaster,will cost a few bob but it will save you a lot of time and effort.

Tis petrol soluble innit? so get the worse off with a chisel and then thin it (then light a fag
