In it's time a sling shot was better than a AK47. But only because AK47s were a long way in the future. I lost count of the transfer boxes and centre diffs changed under warranty. The really early ones were pretty crap. Just like everyone remembers the Mini as being a really good motor, until they fitted them with the gearbox designed for the 1100 they were unreliable as hell.
