All of the sudden my key won’t turn in my 2008 L322 RR supercharged. I’ve had a diagnostic and it threw up steering column lock. Is this correct? Can I have the little motor changed? I’m based in the UK and any advice, links etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Try the search box top right of page,I'm sure there's lots of posts on the subject, sorry I can't be more helpful, I'm a P38 man.;):D

How long have you owned this RR? :)

Can you give a bit more detail?
Doesn't move at all? Moves a mm? Moves to position I ? How is the battery? Have you got yhe fault codes? Which diagnostics were used? Any other faults?

Hi, I had a similar issue and started by applying a little penetrating fluid in the switch before tearing the dash apart. Remarkably after some jiggling and making sure there was at least 13 volts in the battery it started to work again, took about 48 hours wait though.
Let us know how you get on and if you still need assistance. Don’t be lead by fault codes they can be a blind ally if your battery is low.
Cheers Tricky :)

Isn't there a known solinoid fault on the steering column?

Sorry missed your post earlier, yes there are many known faults on the L322 Steering Column to be fair but reading some posts and other search info it occurs to me that some owners are too quick to replace parts when all they really need is a good battery charge and a little patience. I still have an unused Immobiliser Module sold to me by a supposed Land Rover Specialist...!! Although, parts may be required...time will tell but I like to do the free things first if I can.
Tricky :)
